About PhysioWave Taunton
PhysioWave Taunton | Physiotherapy‑led hydrotherapy rehabilitation
We provide physiotherapy‑led hydrotherapy in a calm, supportive environment. Every session is planned and supervised by an experienced senior physiotherapist, with two clinicians in the pool to help you feel safe, supported and confident.
We’ve worked together for around five years and are confident in each other’s skills. That means you get a joined‑up, consistent approach to your rehabilitation.

Meet Sharron
Josh Durran – Senior Physiotherapist
BSc, HCPC registered, CSP member
Josh is a senior physiotherapist with around 10 years’ experience. He especially enjoys:
• Post‑operative rehabilitation
• Poly‑trauma rehabilitation
• Supporting people to safely return to everyday function and activity
Josh loves all things water‑based and is a keen scuba diver (he just wishes he had more time for it). Outside of work he enjoys rugby and spending time with his wife and baby boy.
In the pool, Josh brings a calm, knowledgeable and enthusiastic approach. He takes time to explain what you’re doing and why, and will adapt each session to your pain levels, confidence and goals.
Sharron Kington – Specialist Hydrotherapy Assistant
Sharron is a specialist hydrotherapy assistant with a calm, friendly manner and a great sense of humour. She brings a wide range of experience and interests, including:
• Running coach
• Hockey player
• Particular interest in treating hips, knees and backs
Sharron helps people feel at ease in the pool, whether they are used to exercise or just getting started again. She is skilled at pacing sessions so they feel manageable but still effective.
How We Work Together
You’ll usually see both Josh and Sharron in the pool. We:
• Plan your rehabilitation together
• Communicate closely about your progress
• Share our different strengths to support you as a whole person
We’ve supported many different people, including those who:
• Cannot swim
• Have a fear or phobia of water
• Feel very anxious about starting exercise again
You do not need to be able to swim to benefit from hydrotherapy. We’ll go at your pace, explain things clearly, and always work towards goals that are meaningful for you.
